Terms and Conditions - Skip Hire Honor Oak
Welcome to Skip Hire Honor Oak. By engaging our skip hire services, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before making a reservation.
1. Definitions
- Company: Refers to Skip Hire Honor Oak.
- Client: The individual or entity hiring the skip.
- Skip: The container provided for waste disposal.
2. Booking and Reservations
All bookings are subject to availability. To secure a reservation, a deposit may be required. Clients must provide accurate information during the booking process.
2.1 Cancellation Policy
Cancellations made at least 48 hours in advance will incur no fees. Late cancellations may result in a cancellation fee equivalent to 50% of the hire cost.
3. Hire Period
The standard hire period is 7 days. Extensions can be requested but are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.
3.1 Early Return
Clients may return the skip earlier than the agreed hire period without incurring additional fees.
4. Skip Usage
- Only approved waste types may be disposed of in the skip.
- Clients must not overload the skip. Exceeding the weight limit will result in additional charges.
- Any damage caused to the skip or surrounding property due to misuse will be the client's responsibility.
4.1 Prohibited Items
The following items are strictly prohibited from being disposed of in the skip:
- Hazardous materials
- Electrical appliances
- Chemical substances
5. Payment Terms
Payment is due upon delivery of the skip. We accept various payment methods including credit/debit cards and bank transfers. Late payments may incur interest charges.
5.1 Invoicing
Clients will receive an invoice detailing the services rendered, including any additional charges incurred during the hire period.
6. Liability
Skip Hire Honor Oak is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services. Clients are responsible for ensuring the safety of their premises when the skip is delivered and collected.
6.1 Insurance
Clients are advised to have appropriate insurance coverage. We are not responsible for any loss or damage to personal property within the skip.
7. Health and Safety
Clients must adhere to all health and safety guidelines when using the skip. Failure to comply may result in immediate termination of the hire agreement without refund.
7.1 Access and Placement
The client is responsible for ensuring that the placement of the skip does not obstruct public access or violate local regulations.
8. Changes to Terms and Conditions
Skip Hire Honor Oak reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Clients will be notified of any changes, and continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
8.1 Acceptance of Terms
By hiring a skip from us, clients acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
9. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from the use of our services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
9.1 Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to seek an amicable resolution through negotiation before pursuing legal action.
10. Severability
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
